Home Made Energy – Full Review

by Andy Greene

Home made energy is an ebook that is accompanied by a set of videos. The writing in the ebook is a bit stilted in places, but it gets the job done.  A typical sentence is “It is an issue of some debate today as to whether one should choose a vertical or horizontal axis.”   The ebook is 59 pages long.  It attempts to cover both wind and solar in that length, and in doing so leaves out a few details.

The videos pick up where the book leaves off, including needed details and step-by-step instructions.   The videos are a work-in-progress, and as of this writing they are not complete.  The narrator, Ben, is a journeyman electrician and he does a good job explaining complex concepts in simple language.  Judging from his accent, he might even be a green redneck himself.

If you purchase this product you will get access to future videos as well.  That’s a good thing, because the existing videos cover photovoltaic cells (PVC or solar cells) in more depth than wind energy.   Home Made Energy shows a lot of promise, and it would be a good product to get to complement Build a Wind Generator if you can afford both ebooks.

If you are focusing on wind energy alone this product is probably not the best place to start.
