Build a Wind Generator – Full Review

Build a Wind Generator is a no-nonsense eBook written by a couple who has built wind generators from scratch.  Les and Jane share their experiences as they provide step-by-step instructions for building a wind generator to generate power. Their eBook is around 100 pages long with very little padding. 

Diagrams and photos make the steps clear. Building a wind turbine and generator is not for the faint of heart.  If you are going to build one from scratch, you really do need a guide like this.

Once you generate electricity you need to store it, and deep cycle batteries can be very expensive.  Les and Jane also share tips on ways to obtain used batteries that will still hold a charge, and ways to recondition and recharge them.  If you are really planning to build a system, then these tips alone will more than pay for this book.

I have never built a wind a wind turbine or wind generator, but I have thoroughly reviewed this book and these plans.  If you have the money, you should probably spend several thousand dollars on a pre-built wind turbine and save yourself all of the work.  If you enjoy building things and have more time than money, then this eBook is a great start toward building a wind-powered system to help lower your electric bills.  Keep in mind that you will need a licensed electrical contractor to assist you if you plan to tie your wind generator into the electric grid.  If you are living off the grid, you can do the whole project yourself and even tie-in solar panels as well.   The Build a Wind Generator eBook is a very good guide to a project like this.
